I use this for my 18 year old and it is sturdy. Was a pain to set up, but i figured it would be. The instructions could have been a little more clear. We literally had to squint and stare at pictures to figure out what was what, but we got the job done. Very pretty and sturdy loft bed. very reasonably priced as well.
