I am really pleased with this purchase. I like the old/fashioned quality of this bed, especially the details on the footboard. We bought it to replace my teenage sons bunk bed and I think it works well for a masculine room, but I can also see it working well in the future for a more feminine guest room. My husband assembled it alone and though it took him a long time he said it was very straightforward. (I wasnt in the room because Im not cry.) It seems very sturdy and stable with no creaking so far. One thing I love is the under bed storage. I have 10 (TEN) large 58 qt. plastic containers under here. I will say that there is a metal leg in the middle of each side that protrudes slightly in a dangerous way: I absolutely destroyed my toes on those several times before cutting a pool noodle to use as insulation. Overall Im very pleased with this bed!
