Works on a variety of different terrains indoors out.
FYI: This model I purchased has 4 wheels; there is a similar model that I had previously that had 3 wheels, DO NOT get the 3 wheel version the 4 wheel is much more sturdy especially when using outdoors. The 4 wheel takes turns better I is better going up down ramps.
