This is a hard review to write. Its that balance between what you expect from the description and reviews and reality. I was aware that this was not an off/road scooter and that is not what I wanted. I wanted something that would take me from my car to the store and back again. Something I could take on park paths or amusement park pavement. In other words, something that would take me from point A to point B as long as it was tile or pavement. Based on what I read, I thought this was it. While I had no problems in the mall, getting from the car to the mall brought up difficulties as there was a problem going up the handicap ramp. The sudden stop is a killer. Then it is turn the scooter off, turn it back on and then off we go again. This scooter does not like pavers at all and some sidewalks are made that way. A little clump of grass showing through the sidewalk will also shut you down. What makes this more confusing is that you never know when youll get stuck. I had trouble with one handicap ramp but not another even though they were both made the same way. I dont know if it was speed or angle or whatever. The wide area needed to turn does not make this good for small areas, such as inside my house or getting in and out of an elevator and it doesnt have shocks so you have to be ready to get jolted.
That said, I like the wide seat, it feels sturdy and the basket holds my bag easily. I actually use the arms on this one whereas I took them off my old one. I was impressed with the angle of an incline it was able to take without losing any power. It responds quickly and the speed is easy to adjust. I had to dial down from rabbit as the kids couldnt keep up. It is fairly easy to take apart to transport but will take a bit more time to be comfortable being able to put it all together.
As I only use it for those times I have a distance to walk, I may feel differently the more I use it. If thats the case, Ill update my review.
Depends on your use
