We bought the one for out girls almost three years ago and loved it so much that a year later we bought the blue one for our boys. Weve had them as bunk and a separate and they are sturdy, the bolts have not loosen up. A twin mattress fit perfectly. It did take a while to set up but not that difficult, with patience lol
