This bed is very sturdy and I feel pretty confident letting my teen climb up there. She loves it! Assembly will take two people (unless you were lucky enough to be born with three hands), four hours, and is pretty straightforward. The hardware pack fell apart in transit, but luckily the rest of the box is packed tight, so the mess was contained. The desk part is a btch to slide in, and Im not entirely sure its in there correctly.
EDIT 6/28/19: I hope you dont have to move, because this thing cannot be unassembled and reassembled.
