Went on a primitive camping trip took this tent it held up great. Went up north to check out the foliage so nights were cold and wet (last night was 27f ). Even without the tarp and poly over it was very weather resistant. The rain fly alone beat my expectations it kept us dry through some pretty good rains. I used a mr heater hunting buddy to heat the tent it hit 80 on nights it was 30 out. Three things I wasnt thrilled with though my reason for 4 out of 5 stars. 1 the tents round dome shape comes from two main fiber glass rods that run from corner to corner .they cross each other and make an X. One of the sleeves they side through ripped on our frist trip weve done 4 trips now. It still works but I taped the tare up and its held just fine. Its still very annoying though. 2. The porch is only effective with sun and bugs. It has no effective rain cover, if the screened part of the tent is pitched up hill (looking out and away from the tent flap behind you) water will pool up there . Last complaint if you put in a larger air mattress it only sleeps two and leaves you just enough room for gear and a foot path out of the tent.
All and all its a very good tent rugged not the lightest but no where near the heaviest.
Its got the right amount of windows the screens work great at keeping bugs out. All zippers are still intact. Has a great rain fly. Very comfortable for two people to set up camp for a week. Once we got use to it we were able to have it set up in about 15 minutes. All and all Id recommend and would buy again.
Last suggestion buy better tent stakes if your camping some where Wendy or rocky.
