This is a very cool tent..... for nice weather. Ive had this tent out 6-7 times over the past 2 years and unfortunately have ended up in the rain about 4 of those times.
The major design flaw in this tent is the porch area. The porch, which is screen, extends beyond the coverage of the rainfly and the whole area gets soaked if theres even a moderate rain. Any gear left in the porch area will be wet if its left in the rain.
The main cabin of the tent isnt weather proof either. I put my own coat of water proofing on the tent when I first purchased it and my 3rd time out in rain, there was enough leaking through the sidewall that a puddle had formed in one of the tent corners.
