Its a great tent but dont think you will fit 6 people in there with any comfort. Im in my 50s and need a little more room for my cot. Im not a big guy but since my cot is a foot or so off the ground, you would only be able to fit two cots in there if you dont want to be touching the tent walls. As far as weatherproof, you wouldnt believe the storm we had on the second night of camping. In under 15 minutes, our campfire was completely flooded out. Its a good thing the tent was on a bit higher ground. The inside of the tent was totally dry and survived the powerful winds too. The tent spikes are a little on the flimsy side, so I will be replacing them with ten inch spikes and flat washers. We were on a gravel surface and bent most of the pegs trying to get them in. The screen room, , , pretty useless for the most part. but it does make a buffer to help keep pesky mosquitoes out of the Sleeping Quarters. My only real complaint is the sleeping quarter size. So, if you are looking for a two person tent, this is the one that I would buy again in a heartbeat. I guess if I need a 6 person tent, I better look for a 12 person size.
