The screened in porch will let us take our shoes off and keep the dirt out of the tent.
When all of our children were home (5 of them) we needed a large cabin tent when we went camping. Now that it is just my husband and I we didnt need that large of a tent. We spent a couple of weeks checking out all of the tents on , rating them with what we liked and didnt like about them. One of the important things for me was that I be able to stand up inside of the tent. The Evanston is 58 tall. My husband wanted a covered porch so we had a place to sit outside of the tent and have shade. Even though there are just the two of us we wanted a tent large enough to keep our things inside of the tent. The Evanston tent is 10x14 with the screened in porch giving us plenty of room. The porch has a floor to it. This will let us take off our shoes in the porch area and keep the dirt out of the tent. We are looking forward to using our Evanston tent this summer.
