Im still torn on whether or not I like this tent which is why Ive waited 6 months to write this review. We bought this tent for camping in Michigan and chose this particular tent because we wanted the screened in room on the front. The room is great for storing our cooler and shoes and my dog loves going into that part and laying in the shade while we hang out at our campsite.
I love that I can get dressed in the tent while standing up and that there is plenty of room for our duffelbag of gear, a full size air mattress and two dog beds with room to spare but -
My problems with this tent are two-fold:
1 - the second time that we went to set the tent up, we noticed that the sleeve at the top of the sleeping portion of the tent where the poles go in had ripped from the pole passing through. The tear is only a couple of inches long but now we have to be VERY careful when putting it together (Im going to patch it up as best as I can over the winter). I tried contacting s customer service about this but they wanted a picture of the issue area as well as for us to put an incident in permanent marker by the logo on the tent itself which I dont want to do because if they wont replace it Ill be stuck with a marked up tent.
2- BRR! We camp starting Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend in Michigan and it can get a bit chilly at night to be sleeping outdoors (low 40s). Our previous tent stayed nice and toasty but this tent doesnt have a way to close up the mesh part on the back so it doesnt stay nearly as warm.
