Looks nice, but dont try it if you dont have an electric drill
First, packaging. Miserable. I nearly clawed my fingers raw opening the box and removing the protective pieces of cardboard. It seemed a little silly since the original box was completely falling apart before I even touched it and lots of the pieces had large scrapes on it with several corners broken. Its particleboard, but is painted pretty well. The instructions were difficult to follow and vague (just pictures, very few instructions) and I wound up dismantling the bed several times before figuring it out. But when it came time to putting on the boards and the molding, none of the holes were predrilled. This meant that you had to screw them in by hand to the wood. With nothing but a screwdriver when it specifically says drill not required. After 30+ screws, my hands were covered in blisters and my arm tendons were killing me. It was miserable to set up. My partner was helping and he was miserable as well. And once that was set up, it turned out that the single package of screws had two different sized screws that werent labeled or separated. The bed ended up only being shoddily assembled due to extreme difficulty/frustration. If I had known that ahead of time I would have bought a different bed. Im no stranger to flat packed furniture, but this is the worst assembly Ive ever had to do. It gets two stars instead of one because it does look nice now that its set up. Im good at building things and putting together furniture, but this bed is the worst to build.
