I wanted a buffet with a plank style top, but this one fit my budget and space in my tiny kitchen, so I ordered it and customized it to how I want. I just used 4 1x4s and cut them to the width of the unit but let them overhang a minuscule amount on the front and back as the outlet is behind the buffet anyways. Works perfect. Added matching shelving, not quite complete yet but definitely worth it.
