This is a great looking bed with a high headboard and very low footboard. The headboard curve is only a few inches so it fit into our small bedroom. The color is more of a merlot (dark brown with hints of dark wine red) than pure espresso. It only took two of us 20 minutes to assemble it. I gave 4 stars because the three center supports were several inches too short but we had some wood scraps and were able to add height underneath. (This part of the bed can only be seen if youre rolling around on the floor so our fix wont be laughed at.) We also added extra slats to turn it into a platform bed. The bed is sturdy and very attractive. See my other reviews for a natural foam mattress that looks great on this bed and feels amazing.
