We purchased two of these for our kids room, it took me almost 4 hours to do BOTH of the beds - so about 2 hours to assemble each bed WITHOUT a power drill. Use a power drill with a Phillips + a monkey wrench (whatever bit that is) and cut your time in half. Instructions were clear and it was very straightforward. Two people would also make this go a lot faster for holding boards together etc. But the bed is adorable, as pictured, sturdy and what we expected. Its not a pure bright white as expected, its got a teeny tiny bit of cream to it if that matters to you. The kids room lacks natural light so it is unnoticeable. Its subtle. Theyre very cute beds.
