Received this with box damaged. Opened and the stand top was damaged from impact.
Update after full build completed:
/The underside of the Top Panel A had a HUUUGE gash in it, in the shape of another box crashing through the cardboard protection. The underside of Bottom Panel B had a smaller but similar feature, how nice to be symmetrical. This way of packing actually afforded some leniency, as my son and I were putting the damaged pieces together and noticed the fireplace will cover the gash on Panel A and the gash on Panel B will be on the bottom of the whole ensemble.
/Doesnt Fit a DVD/VCR combo unit correctly. I have it in sideways for now and if we want to watch something THAT nostalgic, I will make it work. The shelf space is deep enough that the unit does tuck nicely in there and is just a big useless brick of the past.
/The fireplace is incredible, and love the storage space behind it, large enough to build a server network in.
/Super lucky to get this on sale for 353/559, so the 200 off allowed me to also get a 75 TV mount, and 5.1 Surround system for the same price, which fluctuates between the 359 and 559 prices, watch for that!
/The Glass Shelves are a nice sturdy tempered glass on metal screw/in pegs with 3 rubber bushings per peg. They do not wobble, they do not move in or out. Are recommended no more than 20lbs per shelf.
/OVERALL: after completing the build, and yes we found out you can put it together halfbackwards so make sure one face has all the back screw holes on it and NO WHERE ELSE. Read through the whole instruction booklet first before even starting the work. Look for where everything will connect, like those flimsy back panels for the shelves. make sure you know how those will connect at all times.
/Good Luck, Stay Strong, Fast Shipping, and remember: We Are All Essential!
Cheap Particle board, Love the Design!
