Everything in the box came well wrapped and all the wood pieces and screws are nice and solid. I like that the screws are painted to match the wood, gray in my case. There was a scratch on the center of the face of the footboard. It wasn't huge, but noticeable being in a often seen location. One would normally lower the stars for that, but the company's customer service was very polite and so quick to respond and send out a replacement board. Only had to wait a couple days for it. I was very pleased about that, especially since I'd been looking for bed frames for two months to find one I liked and thought would last. Put together, everything is screwed down nice and tight and bed is very solid. Very pleased overall and would recommend.
