If we had read the directions more carefully, it would have been easy to assemble. There is a new direction at the beginning for using the glue to make it sturdy. We followed that one and it is sturdy enough to hold a 69 inch plasma TV at 150 lbs with no problem. We like it and it looks nice--for the money.
