Bought this bed for my 3 year old son and decided on the trundle cuz he loves to have friends over. We live in a small apartment and I love that it gives him more room in his bedroom to play. He absolutely loves it.
So far it seems to be sturdy enough but time will tell. I am still in debate to but some board to put over the slates.
Assembly took 3.5 hours. It's not difficult just very tedious. Easy step by step directions.
