I wanted to reduce the size of my bed from a full size to a twin size, thereby freeing up some living space in the bedroom. This frame was an answer to my question about box springs. It took under an hour to assemble (easier than Ikea) and is very sturdy. I weigh close to 300 lbs and I have no issues at all (except that I weight close to 300 lbs). This bed frame is well worth the expense.
