Getting the back on was really difficult, but worth the trouble

Pros: First, I love the chair. I had a really old Steelcase office chair that had all sorts of arm adjustments, but I was just tired of it and wanted something that looks more like furniture. The seat of this chair is much more comfortable, probably because it's new. I also like the back and how the chair sort of hugs you. I can't get the tilt knob to turn, so I'm glad it's sitting at the right angle for me; it leans back slightly. I do need an oblong small pillow to put under my right arm to prop it up to use the mouse. When I'm just sitting reading something, the slanted "arms" are comfortable for my arms to rest on. The chair looks great, so I'm very happy. 1 Con: I'm old and not that big/strong. I cruised along putting the chair together, wheels in, no problem. Then the back decided to bedevil me. There's so much cushioning that the back doesn't just fit right on with the holes all lined up nicely. I turned the back and the bottom of the chair all sorts of different ways trying to figure out how to squeeze the back on to line up correctly. Finally, I put the bottom on the floor with the back resting on a step I have for my cats (see first picture). I straddled the darn thing and sat on the back to squish the cushions together. That miraculously worked. After I got the screws in a little, I moved the back to a higher step and tightened them alternately over and over until the back was solid. What an ordeal!!! I really wish someone had explained how they got the back on, but this was the only way I could manage it by myself. Summary: It was worth the trouble; I really like the chair. Edit: I figured out the chair sort of rocks back, so forget what I said about the knob for the back not turning. Update: May 2022: This chair is too bulky when I try to move it around. I got a new computer desk thinking it would fit better underneath, but it really doesn't. The arms are too high. Were I to look for a chair again, this would not be my pick. It's awkward to lift and move, and I curse often if I need to move it since I have things in the way (a rug) that necessitates I actually lift it to clean. Not really happy with it, even though it's comfortable.
