The Upholstered Platform Bed came well packaged. The directions were (mostly) easy to follow / with one caveat. At Step 5, it advises you not to tighten the screws in that step until you finish Step 9. However, the instructions should have advised you that you ought not to tighten the screws BETWEEN Step 5 and Step 9. The screws and holes were machined well so that finding holes and tightening screws was easy. Assembly actually did not require ANY tools other than what came shipped. However, you will find assembly much faster if you use your own hex screw driver. The under the bed storage drawers are not overly sturdy, so be sure to place lighter items in there (clothes, sheets, etc).
