If I could vote 6/4 for assembly I would. Recently purchased a ton of at home assembly furniture and this was 110% THE EASIEST THING TO ASSEMBLE. my bf and I lose it when comes to collaborative thins like single person canoe or bed assembly and NO EXPLETIVE WAS UTTERED. truly unheard of. Unfortunately if you get a headboard it may be difficult to attach
