This loft bed is just right for our two boys, 9 and 11. We previously had purchased the Zinus full platform bed (pictured) for them both, which suited our needs well! However, we then simplified to a smaller country home where space was at a higher premium.
This loft bed fits PERFECTLY over the previously purchased platform bed. They look like one single peice, but I love I can separate them if we choose to do so. They can still share a room, but now have space for other things as well. This loft bed was simple to put together, my 11 year old and I got it done in an hour.
Tip: Dont tighten it all up too tight until every peice is in place. And if you use a screw gun with a hex bit like we did, be careful not to strip the hex bolts. This didnt happen but I can see where it could if I hadnt been careful.
