I havent even slept on this bed yet, so I will definitely update this as necessary. For anyone that cares, Im in the upper 200s in terms of weight.
Pros:
I just bought this bed on Tuesday morning and it arrived the very next day. I didnt even do anything other than the standard shipping.
It seems very sturdy. At least much more than the collapsible bed I just bought only days before, which is already broken.
The bed frame actually gives you an amazing clearance under it. Since its made out of a heavy duty steel, it doesnt have/need support bars like other bed frames do. It also doesnt require the support legs in the middle, like some other bed frames do. This allows me to store much longer boxes under my bed.
Cons:
The other reviews are right. Half of the hardware comes unpackaged in one of the two boxes that were delivered to my place. When I read the other reviews, I didnt think it was too much of an issue...until I opened the box and it spilled out everywhere. So be careful of that.
While I did say the bed frame seems more sturdy than others Ive bought, thats still not saying much, as it looks like some of the weld points for the cross bars are barely staying on.
While Im not terribly mechanically inclined, this frame took me the better part of 2 hours to put together. Having said that, I was very insistent about making sure everything lined up perfectly (which it doesnt).
Overall:
I give the rating 4 stars because of the height and the apparent sturdiness. Im incredibly happy with this purchase
