These shelves have a classy look, were easy to assemble, and seem very sturdy. I deducted one star because the wood is grayer in tone than the pictures indicate and the measurements given are somewhat misleading. The useable space between shelves is 10.5 in height, not 12. This means most textbooks and binders will not stand up on the shelves, and since Id gotten this to hold school materials, Im needing to lay the books horizontally. As advertised.
