Update / I was contacted by the seller and was told the issue was a fault in manufacturing they were correcting. They offered me a full refund on the chair and I accepted. I am updating the review to 4 stars based on the customer service and hoping any future issues are resolved.
I loved the look of this chair online, and ordered almost right away, but it is by far the creakiest and loudest chair I have ever sat in. Even the slightest shift causes a loud farting creak that is embarrassing on video calls. I tried tightening all the screws and spraying with lubricant, and it is still noisy.
I wanted a more ergonomic chair as well, and it doesnt really deliver. It is also very hard to lean back, even when I loosened the mechanism, plus the noise beware! I attached a video show the noise in the seat.
