I love the distressed look, its not too much and doesnt look cheap like I feared. The size is aming for the price and it matched very easy with our new couch. Negative is the hinges show on the hinged side and the part that elevates seems like it will break in the next 6 months, so well have to be careful with it. But overall worth more than what i paid i did an open box and paid well under the original price
