They are very sturdy and that's really what we needed
We ordered two of these bunk beds at different times and both times we had issues. The first bunk bed came without half the holes predrilled. The second bunk bed came with some of the mattress braces bent so they couldn't slide in and lock into place.
For the price and convenience we thought all in all it was worth the extra effort to get these beds put together. They are very sturdy and that's really what we needed.
