We have three boys aged 12, 3, 2 and we want them to share a room to learn how to share, tolerate and live with others in peace. My older son hates sharing, not even the TV remote so We were looking at each to his own bed but the room won't take more than 2 bed so we finally think a double bunk and a single bed should do. We bought this double bunk first to see how it fits in the room, it took my husband and his friend about one hour and half to put it all together and the kids instantly chose their space on the bed, 12 year went up and the 2 little ones arranged themselves on the lower bunk. We are amazed at how the lower bunk took them in so well and the only thing we had to purchase is the universal rail attached to prevent rolling off. So far, nobody has fallen off and they so love their mickey mouse bed set. I am glad we don't have to buy any more bed with this and they now have playing area in their room
