The bed is absolutely darling! The color is a perfect mauve and the upholstery is very soft and of good quality. I wouldnt recommend an adult lay on it, as the slats are not the strongest.but this shouldnt be a surpriseits a childrens bed.so not made for the weight of an adult. My daughter loves her bed! Its very easy for her to get in and out of this twin bed since its low to the ground. Perfect for her for a few years! This product was exactly what I was hoping for
