Our house came with a funky skateboard ceiling fan in the guest room, so I jumped at the chance to replace the spray-painted oddity with this clean, modern fixture. Overall, its a decent fan.
The product came with some spare parts, which is always helpful. The installation went smoothly. The only issue I had was fitting the receiver box for the remote inside the junction box in the ceiling. Ive had this issue with other remote-operated ceiling fans. The pictures in the instructions helped a bit. As with any ceiling fan, installation is much easier with two people.
Helpful tip: Route the wires and place the receiver box exactly where theyre shown in the instruction diagram, otherwise the fan will wobble.
The look of the fan is attractive with a glossy gun metal finish and two choices of blade color. The light covering is white plastic. This size is appropriate for a small bedroom, but would look dwarfed in a larger space. For its size, the fan has good air displacement. The remote feels sturdy and works well.
On the negative side, the light requires non-standard bulbs which were not included. Due to the shallowness of the space, you need stubby lights that arent very bright, making the overall lighting power somewhat dim.
With a price near $85 at the time of this review, this is a pretty expensive fan for its size. I have gotten an equivalent model for closer to $65.
