When all is said and done, it is fine, but the instructions make it an unnecessary headache. Do Step 2 LAST. Add the crosspiece after you attach the top and bottom and add the wood side arm rests. Be careful. It is not sanded at all. Wear gloves. I had to skip one hole on the bottom because it was not drilled appropriately...but still holds my weight and is cute.
