I chose these based on other reviews and theyre accurate / these are very nice stools. Nice and comfy and sturdy. They handle my 250 lbs with no problem. Solid wood. Nice neutral colors. Great value for the money. The fabric is linen or very linen/like, and Im going to give them a coating of stain protector. Ill post back if there are issues with that.
One assembly tip / hand tighten the top screw (the screw closest to the seat bottom) first when putting on the legs. I did the first stool wrong and it was long and tortuous on my fingers using the allen wrench to tighten the screws. When I hand/tightened the top one first, tightening it with the allen wrench was much quicker, and then I used a flexible drill bit to tighten the bottom screw very quickly and easily.
Also, the footrests on one stool did not have the pilot holes drilled all the way through. Dont send them back just because of this / it took only a little muscle to push the screws through into the legs and there were no issues with splintering or anything.
