This SAMTRA Computer Desk is a sturdy enough desk with the little welded brackets that keep the legs and top in line with each other. It is plenty sturdy for a computer and a printer and has ample room for both with it being 55 wide by 23.6 deep. The hardware and tools required to build the desk were included in the package.
The table top is indeed water proof but looks more like a funky yellow paint than simulated oak. The darker sandalwood might have been a more attractive color.
But, even so, the desk is more than ample for what I need it for. I am pleased with this SAMTRA Computer Desk.

It looks like the picture and comes with everything you need to put it together. Just be careful when your assembling the parts that have different holes inside and outside. The directions aren’t too clear which parts face which direction so I had to take one apart and re-adjust it during assembly. Overall it’s a good desk for the price.
SAMTRA Computer Desk, Modern Simple Style Desk for Home Office, Sturdy Writing Desk (55inch, Oak)
Nicely packaged and it arrived quickly. I like that the desk is large - very simple metal legs with a pressed wood top - the color is light so that could pose a problem later as well as the fact it is made out of pressed wood. But overall, for the money, it is worth it especially if working from home is a temporary thing. I like that I can fit my computer and printer on the stand. It is a very simple desk - nothing fancy here! But totally functionable! For the price, you cant go wrong! Very easy to assemble - not much to this desk - legs and a frame. I would recommend this desk - overall 4 stars! Hope you found this review helpful!
The worst thing about this desk is that it arrived damaged from the factory in multiple locations. The best thing about this desk is that it only took about 10 minutes to put together, it’s quite sturdy, and it’s very affordable. It works for my needs, which are lightweight use in a seldom used spare bedroom of my home. However, if I were ordering this as my main desk, I would have been somewhat disappointed with the product that arrived.
This desk is large, feels able to withstand heavy use, and best of all, it’s cheap. When it arrived, the first thing that I noticed about that packaging was that it was heavy and it shipped in the actual box, it wasn’t packaged again. My box arrived with minor damage (something I attribute to shipping and nothing I will remove points for in my review). This isn’t an issue, but is worth mentioning. I would strongly recommend having two people to move the box if possible. It’s not as much the weight as the size that’s an issue. Beyond that, it was easy to unpackage and put together. I had another person help me put this desk together and it doesn’t require any extra tools. It took us around 10 minutes and there is only a single sheet of instructions. It’s very straightforward and doesn’t require a ton of know-how. Once put together, this is a surprisingly study desk. I would have zero concerns about placing my gaming desktop on the surface and still having room for a single monitor setup.
Now for the negatives, the desk arrived with splintered particleboard on the bottom side of the desk, two loose screws, and some minor chipping along the edges. None of these issues are dealbreakers considering how affordable the desk is, but it’s something to be very aware of if you plan on having this as a work desk. The biggest issue is that two of the screws installed connecting the base support to the desktop splintered the particleboard and were completely loose. I’ve attached photos of the splintering. The two screws in question were in no way attached and promptly fell out when touched. This is an issue in quality-control and this desk shouldn’t have been shipped. For my needs, mostly for display purposes, or for light laptop usage by guests in my home, doesn’t affect the functionality, but if I were planning to use this for my own office, I would have replaced the screws. Additionally, there is some mild chipping to the finish around the edges, I’ve attached photos of one particular spot, that doesn’t look the most attractive.
Overall, I would recommend this desk as you get a very sturdy and basic option that will match a ton of different styles for a very affordable price. I would, however, recommend being aware that this company might not have the best quality control.
I am currently putting it together. There are instructions that are pretty easy to follow but the problem comes in when assembling the x brackets and which side to put the arm. There are screw holes everywhere and unless it specifically shows (picture instructions, nothing is written) where certain screws go you are left to try to figure out out. I am nearly done with the base and was about to put the long x bracket on the back. That is when I realized my mistake. Well, I can easily fix it depending on which side I want the arm. If I want it on the side I, well, want it Ill have to take it all apart and start all over. Is it worth it? I dont know! To be fair Im disabled and only have any real use of one hand so that shows how easily it goes together, but it wasnt that easy for me. My advice would be to look over the instructions until youre absolutely sure youve got it. Will update later...
Update: Okay so I wound up taking certain pieces apart and turning them around. Once I understood how it would go together it wasnt that hard. There are screw holes for the x brackets that are not shown in the instructions. Even when on that page or doesnt point out thats what those are for, you just sort of figure out out at that point. But now that its done its very nice and very sturdy. Only complaint is that the two tops dont completely butt up to each other and there is a slight gap on one end. I just put the printer over it so its not too bad. Hopefully just the one I got.
Over all I like it. There was a coupon so I got it for about $100. I ordered the 47 desk and have ample room for my 17 computer and printer but not for anything else long ways. The arm is a nice touch but doesnt really add a whole lot. I put a small flip calendar and electric candle wax melter on it and it looks nice. Any more would look cluttered. The shelves underneath are a huge bonus. I put reams of paper on the bottom and on the middle a small 3 drawer organizer and a few other office supplies. Its cute, organized and sturdy. I have pa-lenty of leg room! Over all this is a win win. Only had to put it together once (and a half) and looks like it will last a long time. I would definitely recommend! Just carefully, carefully look at the desk pieces and the pictures in the instructions. Maybe even put them next to each other before assembling.
Desk was ordered for bedroom corner work space. The shelves for storage were smaller than expected and can not support printer. You will need to assemble the items which for the most part was easy. The difficulty was in a few pieces were not pre drilled, making it a bit of a delay due to having to the extra work in order not to split the piece. The desk does do the job (minus holding/storing the printer)
This worked well for what so needed it for. I needed something super small to fit in a dining room corner and this was perfect. Materials aren’t the best quality, but for the price that’s expected. One thing to consider before you buy is if you need a drawer. I didn’t think about that before I bought it. I fixed the issue of where to keep my small office supplies by hanging a small basket from the 2 hooks provided with this desk.

It was very easy to build, and it is sturdy, highly recommend
Decently sturdy, nicely sized, weird finish

Desk
Easy to build. There was only six pieces. Took 10 minutes to set up. Sturdier then expected. The corner of the desk did chip easily.
Damaged
Came a little damaged
Could use better instructions
