I like the bed, but there are some issues buyers should be aware of prior to purchasing.
Total assembly time took more than two evenings. The headboard, footboard, rails and slats were completed in one evening so I was able to sleep on it.
The drawers are another story. They are large and roomy and I like the drawers, but there are numerous problems with them that I dont like. I had two screws break off during assembly of the drawers. Theyve obviously had issues before, because there were extra parts shipped with the hardware. The time consuming and hard part was removing the broken screws. They had to be drilled out and I had to use a screw extractor to remove the broken shafts. 1 broken screw was frustrating, 2 was aggravating.
The drawers are on wheels, not tracked which is good from a size standpoint, but they dont roll straight under so youre always adjusting them side/to/side when you put them back under. The latching system for the drawers is poor. If the mattress above is in anyway over the drawer, you cannot get it secured in place. There are no handles on the drawers, so you are pulling from the bottom or top edge. If your sheet, blanket or comforter are hanging long on one side or the other, they get caught in the drawer and hamper getting into the drawers too. Finally, the drawers are flush with the side of the bed. No toe space, so when you are making the bed, if its a king like mine, its quite a stretch to move the sheet and blankets in the middle.
I wanted a bed with drawers under for the extra storage area, but Im at the point that I may eliminate the drawers. Going to try magnetic strip to secure them in place. If that works OK, maybe Ill keep them. If not, the drawers are gone.
Simple to put together. Just be careful when using a drill to drive bolts in. Upholstery looks good. My favorite part about this frame is that there is no wood to wood or metal to wood connections which reduced the bed squeaking to practically nothing. Great frame for the price.
Bed slats became very loose easily bending really quickly and have to put them back on place really often. The bed became so much of a headache after 2 years of usage that I have to just better completely replace it.

We had to go on the manufactured website and enter the model in order to obtain and print instructions, this was compounded by 2nd.. there are a lot if fine parts that can make putting the bed together very stressful. Ut took 4 of us 3 hours to assemble. Not sure if this is typical. The bed is a good quality bed and it looks rich. I would have given 4 stars if not for the time it takes to assemble and the lack of instructions in the box.
I always wanted a platform bed, and I love the drawers. I wish there were 3 on each side instead of 2. They would be easier to open and close. Or 2 smaller drawers on each side and 2 drawers in the foot of the bed.

No Bed Squeaking? Sold.

It exceeded my expectations. Its sturdy, its beautiful, and great storage space on both sides of the bed. Im in love and highly recommend it!!!!
