    Thumb/Destroying, Wiggly/Wobbly, Cat Palace

Very good bed for the price, in my opinion! Super easy to assemble for one person alone, even standing it upright and moving it around. Plenty of spare hardware, too! Some things I will HIGHLY suggest for the assembly process: 1, obey the directions. Do not get ahead of yourself, no matter how much you might want to jump the gun and juuust put that ooone little part in before the other. And obey the directions when they tell you not to tighten the screws all they way until youre done. Trust me on this. And 2, no matter what the other reviews say, DO NOT SKIP THE LITTLE GREY SQUARES They are absolutely vital to the integrity and stability of the bed! Prepare your thumbs, because it WILL hurt like hell. Use something to apply pressure to help snap them in that will save your fingers, but DONT hammer them!! Now, the bed is pretty stable for a loft bed, but could stand to be a lot better, like a thin bar across the floor to keep the front legs a little more secure. The height is great, even for a lower ceiling. I can sit up just fine and not bump my head, and was able to fit a full desk under the bed on one side, and a full size table on the other, with plenty of room for my rolling chair underneath and plenty of head room. Its an INCREDIBLE space saver! My only problems with the bed are that its scarily wobbly, especially when climbing up. If you have any kind of molding on your baseboard, the bed is going to be a bit further from the wall than youll want. The L brackets included will not reach, and youll have to get creative with how you secure it to said wall. Make SURE you secure it to studs only. Even secured though, its still frighteningly wobbly, so be aware of that. Every tiny movement you make, you WILL feel dramatically in the entirety of the bed. Its very audibly creaky, too. It is the shakiest when climbing up into the bed, and the lack of a dip or space in the railing makes it a bit of an annoying challenge to get in and out of. My other complaint is shared by everyone else in that the ladder rungs are INCREDIBLY narrow, at best approx 5/8ths of an inch diameter, and are very painful on the feet. Theyre also super smooth and offer zero traction. HOWEVER, my biggest complaint is that the motion of climbing in and out happens to force the rungs to loosen and turn little by little, unscrewing them from the ladder. Climbing up one night, the middle rung turned on its screws and rotated inward like a smooth little conveyor belt roll, flinging my leg through and causing me to fall. If I hadnt had an excellent grip on the top rail at the time, I absolutely would have broken that leg. Thankfully I was only left with a substantial amount of paint. So, daily tightening of the rungs is what Im reduced to, and considering a contact cement on the bolts. Instead of the pool noodle trick most folks do to make the rungs more comfortable, I instead chose a route of safety, and used reflective/striped non/skid stick/on stuff used for outdoor stairs, cut into strips that fit the rungs and circled them around completely. This way has kept my feet from slipping off and makes me more aware if the rungs start to become slightly loose again. Definitely recommend this trick, especially more than pool noodles which can also themselves spin around the rungs. All/in/all, decent product, even for an adult like me, which is great for anyone who doesnt mind climbing into and out of it. Excellent for anyone in college who needs to save space in small living quarters. I prefer the top bunk in a military barracks to this loft bed, is that says anything, but its not the worst bed by any means. Definitely recommend it over anything a certain large Swedish store sells for your own assembly. Its the perfect game changer for a tiny room, regardless of your age. Just know that if you have to pee in the middle of the night, you will hate life. If you get thirsty, then it sucks to be you. If you have diarrhea, vomiting, or are drunk, then youre better off sleeping on the floor. Do NOT use ANY amount of haste getting in or out of this bed, period. Its really a pain to get in and out of, due to the height of the railing that sticks up higher than the mattress. If you have male anatomy, youre going to rack it multiple times, and theres no avoiding that. Even as a female, theres no avoiding it. Despite its flaws, its actually the best loft bed Ive found, especially for the price, after doing a LOT of research. I do recommend it, just beware that nothing is perfect. Cat absolutely loves it.

    Small Space Lifesaver

We have 3 girls sharing a smallish bedroom. This loft bed made the best use of the space our girls have. Now the little girls have a play area hiding under the loft and our oldest has an area all to herself up away from the younger girls. Everybody seems happy and it really made the best use of a small area!

Great price, Simple design, a little wobbly.

Very wobbly and a pain to assemble, but the storage underneath is great, the price was right, and our 6yo son loves it. PROS The bed assembled in 4 steps and there werent too many different screws to deal with and the design is intuitive to build. All parts were nicely numbered. The design matches the established decor of the room. Ample space underneath. Our sons twin bed fits nicely underneath with enough room to fit a beside table. The twin mattress from the old twin bed fit perfectly and the guard rails are high enough to prevent a rolling/out/of/bed disaster. There are ladders on both sides so it can be placed in many configurations. The bed is light and easily moved around. CONS Although building the bed seemed simple it did take about 3 hours for one person to build. The parts are all numbered so figuring out what was what was really easy, but there was a little confusion with the numbered stickers for the 4 support posts. They were were mislabeled. I figured it out but it meant I had to second guess things and had to rebuild one of the sides. FIX: If you have a partner it will cut down on alot of time if one person builds the sides of the structure (step 1) while the other builds the mattress frame. (Step 2). As stated above the bed itself is wobbly when my son climbs up. Its metal so it will creak and squeak when you move around alot. FIX:To address this we are going to purchase some pipe straps and anchor the bed into the wall. The ladder rungs are 1 inch round and also metal which are hard on bare feet. Also because they are round, when you climb up, your feet naturally cause the rungs to turn which loosens them. FIX: We are going to purchase anti/slip tape to prevent our son from slipping off the rungs. To address the rungs tendency to loosen we will also add wedge lock washers and/or threadlocker adhesive to the screws. There is no cutout at the top of the ladder so my son has to climb over the end of the bed to get in and out. Overall we love the bed as it was a great price and simple design. There are some problems but they can be easily addressed. Our son cant wait to invite his friends over for sleep overs!

    Very sturdy and good looking!

Got 2 of these for my granddaughter and my granddaughter/to/be since they are sharing a very small room. It gives each of them their own space underneath their beds to make their own. We added curtains so they can have a break from each other when needed. These are super sturdy, very good value for the price. They love them.

Aming bed for two adults. Not only for kids.

I must say, for the price this was 200 worth buying and replacing my two beds in a small room. I share room with my little brother and used to put two twin beds together and my room was pretty small cuz of that. I decided to buy bunk bed to save some space but most of thr bunk beds were for kids and had no head room on the bottom. I am about 180lbs and my brother is 150lbs. He goes on top bunk beds and I go on bottom part or the bunk beds. Blew my mind that it does not squeak. I was definitely expecting squeaking for metal bed but this is reallly good bed. Bed moves little bit when my brother climbs to top bed but it does not bother me much. Other than that this bed really made me happy. My room looks huge now compares to before. It was worth every dime. Building took me about 2 to 3 hours and Its because I was trying to tighten every part very hard to make sure bed does not break haha. It seems perfect. I was little worried about twin mattres size that people said it does not fit their standard twin mattress size. They said it only fits up to 70 3/4 inches. Nope. I measured my mattress which was 73 inches and it perfectly fits with leaving tiny bit of extra space. Maybe they fixed it after? But I am not sure. Thank you for the product

    Used on hospital bed railing

Works really well, very stable. Wish there was a small lip on the backside but havent had any issues yet. I use it to hold phone and a few things next to the bedside at night.

Just what we were looking for!

Quick shipping. Was projected to arrive on a Monday and got here on Friday afternoon. I was expecting this to come in an even bigger box than it did so I was very impressed with how compact it was packaged. The package did weigh 90 pounds but I prefer that over having it shipped in multiple boxes. That would have been unnecessary in my opinion. Everything was labeled and the instructions were awesome and straightforward. It was a very simple assembly. It took an hour and a half from start to finish. All of the pieces were there and they even included a bag of some spare parts. My 9 year old son loves it so much. I have a 5 inch memory foam mattress on it so from the top of the mattress to the top of the guard rail there is about a foot or more of railing/security. We chose this because of the versatility of what we could do with the extra space under it. We can use it as an empty space for play, put a desk under it for a workspace, put a sofa, tv, dresser, or another bed under it if we want. My daughter wants one now and Im kicking myself for not getting 2 at once. I wanted to see how we liked it before getting the second and now theyre out of stock, so dont wait if your considering buying more than one! Ill be checking back constantly to see when it comes back and hopefully for the awesome price I got ours for. ONLY downfall is that the black plastic caps that come in the tops and bottoms of the 4 main posts came damaged and cracked. I saw this on another review as well so I know we arent the only ones. 4 of 8 were good and the other half were not. Thankfully we are using it on carpet for now but I will be contacting the company and asking about replacements in the morning in case we do decide to use it on hardwood.
