Purchased this for my 12 year old son. He now has more space in his bed room as we moved his desk underneath. It was easy to put together and has held up to many sleepovers. A normal size futon also fits underneath giving you many options for room design and decor.
Love the fact it doesnt really take away floor space. Got it for my daughter she loves it.
Only thing is wish the ladder had an opening to make getting up and down easier.
My daughter loves this bed. Only problem I have is that it squeaks really loud. Im going to anchor it to the wall, if that doesnt help Im going to put fabric between the joints. Over all the bed is nice and worth the money but its so loud it has woken me up in my room when my daughter tosses and turns in her room
I was wondering whether this would be sturdy enough for the 160/pound, twenty/five year old guy who is using it, and it is. It shakes a bit when he rolls over, but thats because we didnt anchor it to the wall (we have just the bed, not the desk underneath). The metal seems sturdy enough /weve been using it a month now and nothing has bent or bowed. The bright white finish looks great. Assembled by one person. Took a few hours, but it wasnt overly challenging. Very pleased.
Surprisingly stable! Two adults can sleep here comfortably. Or not sleep/ not too creaky. ;) Some people complained in reviews the ladder is uncomfortable. I can see that, but for me I dont mind. One thing I dont like about this bed is its too short to stand all the way up under (and Im only 53), which sucks cuz my dressers under it and I have to bend my head down a little. But I guess thats typical of loft beds. I mainly took a star off because it arrived missing one of the ladder rungs. Wasnt a problem for me since I only use one of the ladders, but still came with a piece missing.
