I want to take the time to rave about this cabinet!
It arrived a week earlier than the delivery estimate, which was a pleasant surprise because I resigned myself to a long, non/Prime delivery time one month ago just because it ticked all my boxes:
/ Matched or complemented my existing and rented kitchens aesthetic
/ Short enough to *juuuust* fit under my kitchen counter to conserve space
/ Shallow enough to not stick out very much (there is a protrusion of a couple inches, as expected.)
I am a 50 woman who is NOT very strong, and the package was easy to bring into my house and assemble on my own. Ive assembled quite a few deliveries during just the last couple years, and this has by far been one of the best assembling experiences / everything fit together just right, all the holes and hardware were there and in the expected places, and there were no scratches or damage on any of the wood or glass parts.
The one hiccup was that one of the hinges attached to a door part (pictured) did have some crunchy orange rust build/up on it. No big deal, I unscrewed it and soaked it in Barkeepers Friend (citric acid,) then scrubbed it away as good as new.
The wood has a warm depth to its grain, is solid, and feels well/crafted. I was honestly expecting the usual kind of MDF and the sharp corners typical of cheap , but I was so pleasantly surprised. Even the thin particle/board back panels seemed a little heavier than I expected. I suggest when you assemble this part, just have the big manufacturing sticker face the outside so that the interior remains unmarred.
I assembled this by myself in just a couple hours / and that includes the time I was soaking the rusted hinge. Im very happy with how this turned out how it looks under my counter as a space/saving liquor cabinet! If you omit one of the shelves, you have plenty of room for wine bottles or those taller liquor bottles to fit in, while the shorter shelf can comfortably fit wine glasses or stouter bottles such as Grand Mariner, Suntory Whisky, or beer.
I loved the color, and it was the perfect size for what I needed. The project took just under an hour to assemble. The price was so affordable, and appreciated the free shipping.
I love the modern look of this cabinet. It was easy for me to put together by myself. Some of the finish on the inside of one of the cabinet doors came off with the sticker. Not a big problem because its on the inside of the cabinet door. No other complaints. This cabinet holds my Husbands shoes and my Dogs leash so none of that stuff is laying around my Foyer. Happy, happy, happy!
I am impatient and fast moving. And yet I was able to put this together. It took me 2.5 hours. I read carefully, followed the instructions one step at a time, and did not get overwhelmed! Looks great in my office.
The final product is lovely / just what I wanted. But the truly astounding thing was the exceptionally clear and easy/to/follow instructions, and perfectly drilled and aligned holes. And / I was utterly thrilled that it required only a Phillips head screwdriver and hammer / NO Allen wrench! Other makers should follow s lead!
