Tent was roomy but when we had rain the screen porch did get wet. Next day we had to put a canopy overlapping the tent. Which prevented rain from coming in. Over all the inside area did not leak.
This tent is perfect for car camping. It was easy to set up by myself. (tip:it was easier to place rainfly over the tent by first placing the rain fly tent pole in the rain fly.) The inside was roomy enough for a queen size air mattress and room to spare. There were two dogs on the trip and that was the purpose for the screened porch. Plenty of room for the doggies to sleep. They were able to push open the screen door zippers. A carabiner was able to fix that easy enough. There was a light rain and the screened porch did gather a little water. I can see how if it rained harder it could be a problem. So if you are a fair weather camper you should be okay, or maybe an extra tarp for the screened area.
Went camping in the rain last weekend with the 6 person tent and it worked perfectly. The tent was pretty large for 2 adults (1 queen) with 2 bags but the space was appreciated. 3 twins would fit well, I wouldnt put 4 people on blowups in there (maybe just pads). Once set up, the tent takes up a good amount of space so a large flat spot is needed.
Pros:
- Stayed nice and dry inside the tent (with a tarp underneath for extra protection) during rain
- Screen porch was a HUGE plus- great shoe holding zone (if you put them in trash bags if rain is expected). Other tents like this dont have a floor in the screened area which sort of defeats the purpose so that was a big win for this tent. Theres room to put a chair in there to make taking shoes on/off easier. We never had to open up the sleeping portion until we were ready for bed so virtually zero bugs and dirt got in. everything was kept at arms reach in the screened area.
-Good head room and a nice loop in the center to hang a tent fan/lantern.
Cons:
-Back is completely open so the rain fly is needed for privacy. I would always use the rain fly anyways for unexpected storms so this wasnt a problem.
-Rain fly does not protect screened area that well so the only thing Id keep in there over night are shoes and dirty/wet clothes you wouldnt want in the tent anyways.
First time camper and I was very happy with the size of the tent and ease of set up. We were very happy with the screened area, as we had two chairs and a dog bed and were able to sit in there with our pup and get away from the bugs, but still were able to stay cool. Cant wait to go camping again!
I bought this tent awhile ago for my big 4th Of July camping trip. It worked out very nicely, even without a test run before the camping trip. We had hit a pretty decent sized rain storm on the trip, and the tent stayed completely dry and cozy. It was nice and roomy inside, however, the description said that this tent could hold about 6 people or 2 queen sized beds, and based on my experience, I would say that that is false. It fit our queen sized bed nicely, but in order to fit another queen sized bed in there, we would really have to squeeze it in. It is, however, the perfect size for my boyfriend and I. Plus, the porch on this tent was seriously awesome! I was very pleased with this tent, and I am so glad I took the plunge and bought it. My only real problem is that it is a pain in the ass to set up. The directions are pretty much useless, so if youre going to purchase this tent, make sure you already know how to set up different kinds of tents. Other than that, I am super thrilled with my brand new tent and I cannot wait to use it more!
I received this item and promptly went on a trip. This product was used in West Virginia during the substantial flooding that occurred in June of 2016. It held up quite well against the rain and remained completely dry on the inside through 2 days of significant rainfall. The outside canopy area was soaked but that was to be expected. Exceptional tent.
This is the best tent if you want to keep your shoes inside. Also, it is great to sit in the screen in the day time and keeps the bugs out. Its a 2 in 1 situation and we love it.
After 2 weeks of summer camping in various locations this tent is easy to put up and take down. I think our record was 10 minutes for setup and a little less for take down when a storm was on its way. The interior of the tent stayed dry during 3 nights of light rains. The screened alcove got wet but this was not a surprise. We never figured out how to use the rain fly tie downs that are on either side over the alcove at the front of the tent. We did get a small tear in the tent pole sleeve on the top of the tent but it could be due to an overzealous child helper. I wouldnt try to fit 8 people into this tent; we squeezed in 5 on a wet night.

Super nice!
Super roomy and love the screened in portion. We only had two people in it, but much room for more. Can wait to use it again.
