Hes so happy and loves his new comfy mattress (cant blame him cause I do too lol) its shorter than I expected but the height is actually perfect for him and for me if I want to sit on the edge and read to him or something. Very happy with this purchase!!!! Instructions werent too difficult to follow. Maybe slightly confusing but not hard.
This is an awesome bed and a great price. I will say I was overwhelmed when it came time to put it together! My hubby and I took our time and made it fun...it took about 4 hours to put the bed and bookcase head board together. It was worth it! Our daughter loves the bed and so do we! We didnt need any extra parts as some reviews suggest. The slates will stay in place. There are groves in the metal supports that you pinch down once a slate is in place, to keep them from shifting. Other than that...just follow the directions and take your time.
Bed was simple enough to put together myself in about 2 hours, however the boards to support the mattress were about 4 inches too long and I had to use a saw to shorten them otherwise they were unusable. The frame itself is very sturdy. The drawers are a bit difficult to open from the top as they are rounded and dont have anywhere to grip. Best to open from bottom side of drawer where there is a slight indent to grasp. This makes it fairly difficult for my toddler to open the drawers to get his clothes out which is both good and bad.
I read the reviews on this product and admit that I had doubts when I purchased it... That said, it works just fine. Easy to put together, though time consuming, and has been under our bed for 3 months now. Drawers hold all of my husbands clothes and our memory foam mattress fits comfortably and without issue on this piece. If you need something reliable and cheap, this should do the job.
The bed frame with the drawers is great. Took about 3 hours to assemble by my self. The instruction were good. It seem overall fairly sturdy. A couple of improvements would be better hand holds on the top of the drawers. As it stand the hand holds seem to be positioned on the bottom of the drawer fronts and for a storage bed frame that is not a very good position as I usually grab the top of the drawer front to open the drawer. Another improvement is the slats that from the length of the frame which the mattress sits on couple be about 1/2 inch longer. They would stay in the metal holder bars better. One last improvement is the metal holder bars. DO something the improve the manner in which the slats are separated as the indents are not very effective in keeping the slats separated equally, in other words do something the keep the slats from moving side to side. Other than that I love it. To anyone buying this I would get some plywood to put on top of the slats in order to provide a sturdier surface for your mattress, which is what I did and just screwed in down on top of the slats.

For the price...this is a great bed. I was very happy how nicely the drawers work. Con- putting this together. It is time consuming.
