4- Easy to follow assembly instructions (took 6 hours by 1 person)
5- Kid enjoys this bed
Dislikes:
1- Smells like a combo of spray paint wood, but should dissipate after a few days.
2- Staircase is NOT drawer, just 2 open slots as storage, so I find the description misleading.
3- A few dents on the railing but unnoticeable.
Note: Mattress should be no more than 8 of height as stated, or else it can be dangerous for a young kid to roll out.
The instructions are not clear, the parts are NOT labelled, but if you have experience with furniture and am willing to take the time to measure and label each bag of screws and bolts etc yourself, it should be not bad. I will say that it comes in 5 separate, quite heavy (100-120+ lbs/box) boxes and they do NOT label which box to open first properly, nor do they label which box is the consecutive etc.
I ended up returning this for far nice Loftbed with a desk from JYSK for $100 less and the desk space is far larger with just as many drawers if not more and a far better staircase system rather than the little ladder you see on this one. I would highly suggest you shop around, even take a look at other sites before committing to this as just even having opened the boxes, it looks like it would take easily a day to assemble if not more, and Ive put together dozens upon dozens of items from and Wayfair, but this one was quite daunting when I looked through it all. Goodluck!
After running into supply order issues with the other bed we ordered for our daughter, we were happy to be able to get this bed for her. It was simple to construct and the customer service was excellent when we had questions.
I think maybe they fixed the problems I read about in a lot of reviews because it was relatively easy to assemble. If you know how to build a dresser youve basically got this covered. Its very sturdy. I have an incredibly heavy gel mattress on it and my children jump on it regularly and there is so sign of anything breaking yet. On top of that my husband and I together add 500 lbs. Ive had it for a couple months.
The drawers dont slide well unless the bed is squared out right, so when all the sides and corners are right. Then the drawers slide very well. I do have one problem drawer though. I wish this and more bedroom furniture had an easier slide bottom. Its too big and with my mattress too heavy to even budge it.
Over all Im really satisfied and surprised it didnt suck considering the low price.
I am in love with this bed, easy to assemble, brings everything you need and perfectly explained,we spend like two hours, if you do not find something or it does not look good, check and read again, because everything is perfectly designed and explained steps by steps, very useful, it has enough space to store your kids toys, and drawers, fun, my childrens get under and play, the desk is perfect to do homework, I am just in love, very nice, exceed my expectations
Several pieces had come unglued, a piece missing. Absolutely not worth what O paid for it. The child I bought it for is disappointed in it also. Without a doubt not worth what I paid for it. Do not recommend.
Update: I wanted to love this bed, but now I think I might actually regret purchasing it. Including updated photos I just took while my daughter was sleeping, so the lighting is low in those two pics.
I wanted to make sure to give it time before reviewing and now that 4 months have passed the time has come. At first, I loved how sturdy it was. Took my partner and me 4 hours to assemble for our daughter. After assembled I realized that the slide came out farther than I expected, and thats when I considered returning it, but the unboxing is such a headache that itd be near impossible to get everything back in place the way it came. Not to mention the box with all pieces is HEAVY.
The main reasons I dont love this bed now are:
1) The slide is too fast and steep.
Most slides you see at parks or on playsets are either elevated above the ground at the end, so a child can have that space to use their feet to stop themselves. Or if theyre not elevated, then they have a lip that slides out parallel to the ground allowing your kid to have a smooth landing. But does this slide have those things? Nu-uh. Its a steep straight slide that digs RIGHT INTO THE GROUND. So basically when your kids slide down this super fast slide theyll seem like theyre about to crash and tumble headfirst. So as you can imagine, that made my big and tall four-year-old a little afraid to use it (and she LOVES slides). The way I slowed it down was by cleaning it with a household Kids N Pets cleaner, but then it was too slow. So I took a little baby oil on a paper towel and rubbed it onto the slide and now its just the right amount of fast.
2) Within 3 months the second rung on the ladder cracked.
Now, the bed says its rated up to 200 lbs, and the slide 97lbs, so I can only assume that the ladder has the same weight limit in between those ranges and should be able to accommodate my 311 kid at 57 lbs. . . but as I mentioned, it has a pressure crack that developed on the far right side of the rung. (I dont have a pic of the crack on hand, but I found one where you can see it in the pic of my daughter circled in red). Again, the design elements of this bed have room for improvement and the rung that developed the crack just so happens to be the one that isnt braced with screws.
3) If your room is small, you might really want to reconsider the slide option. As you can see in the pics it takes up a big part of the walkway, but unfortunately, because of the rooms layout with the doors, this is the only way the bed can go. In case youre wondering, her room is 11x11 and we thought the slide would not only be fun, but a great addition to help my daughter hurry to the restroom at night when she wakes up. But instead, again because shes scared of how fast it is, she uses the ladder to climb down, which can be tricky when youre sleepy, and so now shes actually said how she wishes she had stairs instead of a ladder - which I initially wanted to buy, but passed up because the stair sets were more expensive, even without the slide. Anyway, after the pressure crack developed we removed the ladder temporarily and rearranged her room using the Trofast storage system as stairs, and wouldnt you know my daughter was so happy with it.
Packaging was intact but one of the pieces for the head rail was cracked upon arrival. The side rail could use some additional support, wouldnt recommend putting full weight on side rail when climbing the ladder.

Probably good, but there are better out there.

Sturdy and well made product for the price

Some assembly required!
Nice bed frame. Not too difficult to put together. It looks great when you finish.

Think twice. Not great for small spaces.
