Updated: 1 year later and this couch has been moved to the back livingroom for 6 months already. Very uncomfortable, too low, super sagging cushions, definitely not practical for every day use.
This couch is gorgeous! The navy velvet is a show stopper. Easy to wipe clean and vacuum. Was very easy to assemble without using instructions. The only draw back is the back cushions sag quickly, started within days. I just have to refluff them often. I dont see this couch as lasting a long time unfortunately, but if you live alone or need something for a year or two, or for a room thats not used often this is perfect. I would probably have still bought it knowing Ill most likely need to replace in a few years.
This couch far exceeded my expectations in comfort, easiness to assemble and quality. While I was nervous ordering a couch off of I absolutely do not regret it. I have a small space so I needed a smaller piece with the most seating possible and the chaise adds that.
9 MONTHS: Only update is Ive washed the cushions on hot delicate twice this week. First I air dried them but I just put them in today on low cycle, very dry option. No shrinkage or fabric damage. Though I will go back to air drying because Im worried the seams wont hold up as long if theyre machine dried. No holes from any dog nails, any stains are completely gone.
3 MONTHS: I definitely shouldve just screwed in some screws. It did take a while, though, to pop off the middle of the back. So Ill take it apart soon to screw in some extras. The cushions are still holding up great. The dogs are obsessed with it. The cushions are easy to fluff up. I havent washed the covers yet. Im afraid of doing that with my history of shrinkage in past couch covers lol. Im going to be attaching velcro to the arm rests back cushions, as they keep moving the arms flop to the side.
1 MONTH: I love the color, exactly as expected.
It is a low modern couch, Im 52 sitting up, the back comes up right below my shoulder blades.
The seat height is decent for me, but taller people or elderly/differently abled people might have a harder time getting up from it.
The cushions are comfy, the seats are a medium firm, the backs are more squishy, but comfortable. The seats are not flippable, you could only switch the 2 middle seat cushions with each other, but thats basically useless. The covers unzip for washing. I havent washed them yet. Sleeping was nice the one night I slept on it, Im a difficult sleeper. I need to be really comfy. The stuffing seems to be a cheap foam, so Im worried itll show wear quickly. It has been an easy couch to clean. I just use baby wipes paper towels. It hasnt stained yet. Just watch out for claws, I think thatll mess it up sooner or later. Quick delivery. 2 screws are not in because they wouldnt go into the very back underneath the backboards. Theyre covered up by a piece of wood it makes them difficult to get in the successful screws. But it seems sturdy enough so far. If needed, I can just screw some screws in later. The pieces all came together in 3 big boxes. Not too heavy to get it to the second floor by my husband. It was a quick set up, maybe 40 minutes because I got confused over which screws went where.
My living room consists of 3 big dogs/ 47, 80 50 lb rambunctious monsters with sharp claws/ 1 cat, one 7 year old 55 lb child who walks/runs/jumps across the couch because hes a wild animal, 3 adults at 230, 240 270 pounds. I have kids over for babysitting, then my niece sleeps over sometimes.
Not sure what all these reviews are raving about, this is the most uncomfortable couch I have ever sat on. Maybe all of these reviewers are office workers? People that dont know what its like to work hard. After a long day I want to come home and sit on something comfortable. Not a effing brick. This couch is ridiculously stiff. The back cushions are fine, but the seats are so bad. Ive seen better couches at BIG LOTS for HALF the price. Dont waste your money. Returning.
Its a really good deal for the price. It is far more comfortable than an couch. It really has some bounce to it when you sit down.
I would say its perfect, but there are 3 things I want to point out to potential buyers:
1/ the back of the couch is short. I find myself putting a pillow behind my head or just slouching down when I want to lean my head back. Its not a downside, its just how this style of couch is and it shouldnt be overlooked.
2/ the arms are just very squishy plush pillows. They offer no support, so you will want to buy firm throw pillows if you plan to lay on the couch and want to prop your head up a little bit or if you like arm rests.
3/ some of the cushions have velcro to keep them in place, but I still find but the seat and back cushions move around and need to be pushed back into place a couple times a week. It doesnt bother me, but I notice it.
Thats all. Overalls Im very happy that I got this for around 750 and it came shipped for free in just a couple days. Very impressed. I will say though, I looked at couches at a local discount furniture place that cost 1300 or so, and those couches were worlds better than this one. Dont buy this thinking its going to be like a couch from Ashley Or some other furniture store, because its not. But I will again say that it is a noticeably better quality and comfort than an couch. So I hope that gives you a good perspective. For 750, this is probably the best you can get.
Stylish and comfortable couch. Fits my family of four easy peasy. Love that it has two lounge sides. Instructions and assembly would be super easy but some Allen wrench areas were hard to reach / turn. Otherwise great look and feel especially for the price, not too hard and holding shape so far. Have had for a month. Delivery was also quick.
I got the 80 sofa for my 500 square foot studio and is the perfect size. The color is perfect and matches photos online. It looks as I expected it to. I looked for couches like this for months and this one was above my price point at first but I realized that this sofa was going to be worth it based on the reviews and the description of the sofa being relaxed, deep and laid back and it didnt disappoint. The fabric is very soft, the seats are firmer than I anticipated but comfortable and supportive and the back cushions are squishy. The sofa is lightweight but did take two people to move. Assembly is easy for one person to do in 2 minutes, just screwing on attached legs. I tried to show in photos that even the arm rests have some cushion to them when squeezed. This sofa lives up to the hype and I think the price is fair. The service that delivered was not ideal because of a delay, the sofa came two days after the anticipated delivery date but I was called the day before delivery and when drivers were on the way to confirm updated delivery time. Would recommend, Im a happy customer!

Didnt keep
I sent it back. The holes to assemble didnt line up. And 2 of the fabric pieces were flawed.
Gorgeous couch! Unfortunately doesnt hold up.

Comfortable and well built
