This bed is wonderful, my wife and I love it. It arrived a day early, was easy to construct, is very sturdy and beautiful; however, the color is not espresso like listed it is though more reddish.

Still love this bed. Rock solid. Ive had no problems with the mattress sliding around. Its super comfortable, and Ive gotten comments from others about how nice it looks. Only minor complaint is that it has 6 legs instead of the normal 4, and for the first few weeks I kept forgetting the additional supports were there in the middle and stubbing my toes on them. But overall, great purchase. Would definitely buy again.

I just received this so Ill update after Ive had the chance to use it for a few months. First off, the bed is beautiful and exceedingly well-made. I really love it. I cant believe I got something this nice for the price. It is completely solid wood, gorgeously stained, and looks great in my room. It was very easy to put together. Admittedly Ive had a lifetime of putting together stuff, but I did this alone (Im an average-sized woman in decent shape) in about an hour. The instructions were the clearest I have ever seen, with numbering on each part that matched the numbers on the paper instructions. All the holes lined up well, and everything went together with no problems, using just the tool in the box. And I can tell that this thing will last - the way everything fits together, it isnt going anywhere. It also supports my mattress very well so far - I have memory foam, and I cant feel any sagging between the slats.
The negatives are minimal. I dont really like that it doesnt have a lip to keep the mattress from sliding around. I read that in other reviews and bought the bed anyway, so its not that big of a deal, but I dont think the tape will do much to keep the mattress in place. I plan to buy one of those rubber mats that go under rugs in the hopes that that will help.
My main complaint, and the reason I dropped a star, was the packaging the bed came in. It arrived with no problems, and the bed was not damaged. However, the amount of packaging was crazy. The pieces were packed with styrofoam blocks, which I know is standard, so whatever. But then each styrofoam piece was wrapped in its own plastic bag, for no reason that I could see. I feel like I have personally annihilated an entire species of fish and probably mowed down several acres of rainforest just by ordering this product...just kidding, but seriously, this is environmentally awful. I think can do better.
But the product is great.
