We purchased this cabinet as a base, and three of the bookshelves to pile on top. The structure is tall but secure (when you attach them to one another) and really lovely. I know people complain about dust coming in the sides, but frankly, I wouldnt let that deter you. There are ways to resolve this. In my case, I have books on the ends that block the dust from entering. I would just do it )
