Looks great and easy to assemble. Quality is OK, but drawers and slats are flimsy. I was disappointed by the drawers / the frames are metal but the sides and bottom are made of plastic sheets (75 lbs max). I feel over time I may have to replace the plastic with wood. The slats are thin and held to the frame with plastic hardware. Overall, Im OK with the purchase given the price, but expected a lil better quality. Hopefully, it holds up well over time.
This is such a pretty bed. It was a lot easier to assemble than I expected. All pieces were accounted for well labeled. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The end product made a 14 year old extremely happy with her new bed.
I ordered two Rose Linen Tufted Upholstered Platform twin beds. We have placed them in a spare bedroom for our grandchildren when they sleep over. The entire bed is packed inside the headboard! Assembling each bed took just over an hour and half but was not technically difficult at all. The instruction manual was easy to read, with excellent illustrations of each assembly step. There were no missing parts and the only left over parts were the small hex wrench and end wrench that came with the parts for assembly. The beds are sturdy, well/made and are exactly what we were needing for that spare bedroom. We are 100% satisfied with this purchase and are glad we chose this product.
This bed is perfect for what we needed it for; a preteen boys bed in our small vacation house, with has essentially no storage at all. Its a sturdy bed and was incredibly easy to put together, and I love the under/bed storage for collecting up toys and personal belongings, as well as for storing linens when not in use. The sturdy part is really important, because this kid is already taller than me and now that hes in wrestling, his baby fat is turning to solid muscle. Hes gonna be a big one! I think this bed will hold up and tide him over for another few years, until his feet are hanging off the end of it.
The shipping got delayed several days, which was frustrating, but not counting that against the item.
I was suprised ad the quality for the price. Its much nicer than something from and much cheaper. In terms of assembly, the instructions are easy to follow and all of the items I needed were included. The bolts and tools come in a pre/packaged container, which I think helps make sure you get all the parts the first time. The assembly is a bit involved, but its not difficult by any means.
It would have been easier to assemble with someone else helping, but I was able to do it alone in about an hour.
This took a bit to put together, but it is a really solid bed, looks and feels quite nice.
If its not clear from the description, there are only two drawers for this bed, you can choose what side you want them on (and follow the instructions carefully because the frame is slightly different baed on what side you want them on). The frame is all metal, and the headboard/footboard hook on nice and solid, as do the drawers plus the other side. The drawers themselves are probably the weak link, they are metal frames, but just some thin plastic on them, and they essentially have wheels that roll them on the floor (they do solidly latch in though to the bed so they dont move around // but that makes it a bit hard for my 6 year old to get them open/shut). The slats are nice, plastic clips hold the two rows of curved slats. Completed it looks quite nice, makes my sons room look more grown up.
The Upholstered Platform Bed came well packaged. The directions were (mostly) easy to follow / with one caveat. At Step 5, it advises you not to tighten the screws in that step until you finish Step 9. However, the instructions should have advised you that you ought not to tighten the screws BETWEEN Step 5 and Step 9. The screws and holes were machined well so that finding holes and tightening screws was easy. Assembly actually did not require ANY tools other than what came shipped. However, you will find assembly much faster if you use your own hex screw driver. The under the bed storage drawers are not overly sturdy, so be sure to place lighter items in there (clothes, sheets, etc).
Great bed, great value. Bought Full size for my very picky and stylish college daughter. Also bought the Tuft Needle mattress. The pair are fantastic and she couldnt be more pleased. I would gladly purchase this again and highly recommend it.
Caveat, I have put together about 50 of these self/assembly furniture pieces, so I would not consider myself a novice.
Shipping was fine. Its a 10 inch thick box that weighs 98 lbs, so keep that in mind for logistics. I ended up unpacking everything and then loading into my car for easier transportation prior to setup. This way two independent people could carry it to the upstairs room rather than needing two very strong people at the same time to do so.
Assembly was a breeze. We finished in about 45 mins. I used a power drill with a 4mm bit clutched to 5. Thank you vendor for using single size bolts (4mm)! I highly recommend using a power drill with clutch to save a ton of time. Or at least buy a screw driver with replaceable bits so you can use a 4mm insert and not the mini one they provide. It will work, but you will have very sore wrists at the end of the day. None of the bolts stripped, nor did any of the nut seats come loose. All holes were perfectly aligned and I didnt have to modify any pieces. Only had to hand/tighten 4 bolts due to not bringing my right angle bit driver. Hardware was clearly marked, and had all the parts for assembly.
However, the last picture indicated that there were 4 slip/on feet, but they were not in the box nor in the parts list. They didnt seem all that necessary, and not critical enough for me to call about it. Vendor might want to clarify this in future directions. Additionally, all parts except for the screws were clearly marked for assembly. However to verify the screws in each step, I had to verify the screw letter on the step page, and then go back to the beginning parts list to cross reference the screw ID to the screw size. Vendor might want to just add more descriptions on each page for exactly which screws to use so the cross/reference isnt needed. I also suggest a single picture in the beginning before starting assembly that shows in detail where every screw goes. But at the end of the day, the assembly was pretty obvious.
I want to comment on previous mentions of the T/Bar issues not holding their weight and bending out. I inspected mine and they were the same and certainly sturdy enough all but the largest behemoths. However, they were designed to take vertical weight, not horizontal shear stress which clearly shows in the detractors associated photos. I believe this was due to the bed being dragged rather than lifted when moved. Its not heavy at the foot once assembled, even with the mattress and bedding, and can be easily swiveled at the foot as long as its lifted first. However if it is pushed, especially on rug, I can see how the the feet would catch on the rug and run into shearing problems. Same issue for the legs, which were very sturdily bolted onto the frame. I thought it was nice that they installed the feet in a way that I could easily replace the legs with others without any issues. Regardless, lift before you move and you wont have any issues.
