Buyer Beware! False/misleading advertising! I purchased this product specifically because the description on this product claims a 450 pound weight limit for the bottom bunk. Upon completing assembly however, on the very last last page of the instructions, it says the weight limit on the bottom bunk is 350 pounds. On top of that, the support bar that runs down the center of the bottom bunk sits about 1/2 below the cross slats. I ended up putting a strip of 1/2 plywood between the slats and center bar so that it would help support the mattress BEFORE it sags down that half inch. Otherwise it seems to be a solid bed, relatively simple to put together.
sort of needed another person to help with the assembling process. i would rather buy a set that already comes with a table attached right beside the bed frame made out of wood below that can also be foldable/expanded which i found here on for a much more affordable price.
So rickety. Constantly squeaks and rattles when you move around in bed. Set up in person looks like something you’d see maybe in a jail. Spend a little more and go for the wood.
It was very hard to put together but I expected that as this is not the first metal bunk bed we have ordered. It takes time and patients. We have had this for over a year. An 18 year old sleeps on the bottom and a 13 year old on the top. Very sturdy. My biggest issue is that it is very hard to convert from bed to couch, the slides have broken twice. We gave up. We bought this to free up some space during the day but can't use it for that purpose.

Sturdy but disappointing

Futon bunk bed
It was hard to set up. I had to try 3 times before I got the correct bed. First was wrong one, 2nd was missing pieces. Instruction quality was good.
