This platform holds my Tempurpedic mattress, box spring, husband, myself and kids without any issues. It was very easy to assemble by myself in less than two hours. I would suggest using a cordless drill for the screws on the drawers, since each side uses about 24 screws, but there are pre-drilled holes, which makes manual assembly easy, as well.
My 15yr old son absolutely loves his bed. The bed is very sturdy! Great storage compartment! Love how classy the headboard looks in his bedroom. Excellent purchase!
Bought this bed for our 12 year old. Pretty easy to put together, took me about 1 hour. Lots of storage underneath. Some buyers mention the metal bed frame isnt very strong. I would say if you are under 225 you should be fine. I wouldnt recommend anyone of any weight to jump up and down on a mattress on this bed. It would probably fail after a while.
This is the second time I get this bed. The first time I had it for 3.5 years and I had to sell it because I was moving out of the country. But now that Im back I got again. It looks nice and is sturdy.
