    Battery Issues

I like this for the mobility and ease of use but I have found that the battery after only having since Feb this year does not take you any distance at all. I can use it for 45 mins and the battery is out of green lights. I am looking to purchase something else that is guaranteed to go more miles. My husband does alot of walking and I use the scooter to tag along but fine that the scooter has run out of juice way before we are ready to stop what we are doing and go homeI was disappointed in the battery part onlyI have written an email to to see if there is a solution to this problem. I hope they can fix it for us. I have now as of last week purchased 2 more sets of batteries for this scooterthe newest ones came in the mail last week. I charged them for 2 days before using the scooter and made it 1 mile before I had no green lights on the scooterThis is frustrating as heck since I can not afford to keep buying batteries for this thing. I am at a loss on what to doI dont know if it is the batteries that are bad or the scooter itself. Anyone have any ideas on how I could check this out?

IT FITS INTO THE TRUNK OF A MIDSIZE CAR

Ok I own a midsize car and when I saw the box I freaked out. The box is huge, but the scooter easily broke down to fit in the trunk. Theres still room for some additional stuff, too. I weighed all of the pieces none of them are heavier than 40lbs. All of the pieces have a handle or something that makes picking the pieces up relatively easy. I havent taken it out on the road or tested the battery life, but the portability was the issue that I was most confused about when I read the reviews so I figured out that I would write about that issue. The other advantage is that you can charge the battery separately from the scooter.

Very cool and helpful to me

Very cool and helpful to me. I have MS so this was a blessing for our vacation this summer. The four wheel version, while being very sturdy and comfortable, has a horrible turning radius. My SUV takes less space to turn completely around. I guess I should have went with the three wheel version. I was very easy to take a part, not too heavy to move. Actually we didnt even take too much of it apart (remove the seat and fold the steering down) to transport it, it fit right in the back of my Jeep Grand Cherokee, it only took two of us to put it in that way.

we could easily place the whole Scout in the covered pickup truck

received the Scout on time and as expected.I had little or no trouble connecting the parts to get it going. I had one small leather rub on the back of the back rest. more a scuff than a rub.rides very well and does work on grass and hills (small ones ) Charged the battery as instructed and found the releases for rolling thanks to a review I read.being 84 and my Wife , we could easily place the whole Scout in the covered pickup truck .love those life handles front an rear.

    Exactly what we needed!

Little heavier than I expected; bit easier to put together than I thought!

Great scooter // lasts for long time and easy to travel with

I am very happy with this scooter. I had knee surgery to replace my ACL and have been having hip problems on my other side. (I am an older woman) I am fine for everyday activities and work, but I have not been able to last very long when my husband and I go on vacation and take sightseeing adventures. When we went to Disney World six months ago, I rented a scooter for a week and it was just the ideal thing to allow me to enjoy our vacation. So, when we got home, we looked into buying a scooter instead of renting one when we go places. This scooter fit the bill for me. It had all the features I was looking for: //it was affordable! Renting a scooter for a day anywhere is at least 50. After 13 rentals, this pays for itself. //it comes apart and fits very easily in the trunk of our car. (A Toyota Corolla). It takes only a few minutes to put it together when we get to our destination. //even I can lift all the pieces of the scooter if I have to (the heaviest one is around 40 pounds) //it has four wheels. I was afraid of possibly tipping over with a three wheel scooter. //the battery lasts for a VERY long time. We recently went to Washington, DC for a three day adventure. The battery lasted for about 6 – 8 hours of constant riding. (The second day we were gone for 12 hours, so when we stopped for lunch, we ate near a plug and charged the battery there.) //It holds 300 pounds. While I weigh less than 2/3 of that, my husband is close to the upper limit and I wanted to be sure he could ride it, too. (Which he did. A few times I got off to walk and stretch my legs and give him a break.) The scooter had no problems with him aboard. //It is easy to steer and maneuver. The gauges are easy to read. I would highly recommend this scooter if you want a portable one. I am really enjoying it and so happy to be able to use it!

    Lifesaver

Waiting for hip revision surgery and in terrible pain, I decided to try this for a couple of reasons. I dont intend to have to use this for more than 2 or 3 months and I didnt want to spend a lot. It is compact enough to fit in my Mustang trunk after separating the main parts. ( described in detail on their website) Im 61 and 265 lbs and this thing pushes me around just fine. Plenty of power and torque. The TURN RADIUS problem that a lot of people talk about is not a problem. There is a lock KNOB on front of the steering column. Pull it OUT and TURN it to unlock and it steers just fine. Ive squeezed through some pretty turns with no problem. Battery life us good. The second day I drove it almost continuously all day. It never went into the amber or halfway point. The only issue for me was the armrests. Even set as narrow as possible I had trouble going through small doors. Residential bathroom for example. But the chassis is short and legroom is tight but it was meant to travel. If I had to be in a scooter all day or for an extended period Id definitely find a larger scooter. However, if you need a scooter for travel and not for extended periods then I would definitely recommend this one!

Bought it for my wife. Used it a few

Bought it for my wife. Used it a few times. Found no problem. I do nee to find a heavy duty battery so she can use it longer without running out of charge.
