GREAT bed, but be aware its not bright white!

The picture of this bed is great / crisp bright white / and exactly what we wanted. The color is actually a warm bone white. When next to the white trim of our bedroom and white dresser, it looks cream. SO be aware / but also know its a super cute, stylish bed, and well made. Packed well, and assembly takes a while because its not a throw/together cheap piece of furniture. There are only 3 slats, so use a box spring. And be aware the pre/drilled holes for the slats were drilled too big for the screws, so they seem stripped. You have to improvise and drill your own holes. Great bed for the price / just wish it was bright white like the PICTURE!

Platform Bed is just what I wanted

My two children (19 and 12) put it together and its perfect. Great quality for the money, very glad I purchased.

    For what it is

This product is okay. First off, shipping was timely and the box, though beat/up, protected the wood from scratching. Now, for the price I didnt expect something fantastic. I knew it was pressed wood, etc, but I expected a bit better build quality. Though protected from scratches, two of the bed slat boards arrived extremely gouged on the corners and just in terrible condition. I keep in mind this was only around 75 for me, so instead of returning I will keep it. I have basically assembled the bottom frame and left the top slats unscrewed. I would screw them in, but the holes dont line up and this cheap pressed wood really cant handle anything not pre/drilled, which, of course, nothing was. This will help me when I move, as well, because now I dont have a massive platform to move about. The top mattress guard rail is terribly inconvenient to attach once the slats are screwed down, as per instructions, so I chose to attach them standing up. The whole thing, once topped with a mattress, does look pretty good. I know in my mind, though, that its cheaply made and hardly durable. Moving this after a bit of use would be a nightmare. Like I said, for what it is: a very cheap, shipped/to/your/door platform frame that looks semi/decent its great, but honestly, if I could go back again, Id buy something else.

    Full Platform Bed

This was a perfect and inexpensive buy for my son and just what he needed for his first apartment. He and I put it together and we thought it was simplenot like some of the reviews saya phillips screwdriver is truly all we needed but we were over prepared and my husbands small cordless lighted drill w/ a phillips on the end came in very handy at the end for applying the molding which could have been done without the drillit just would have taken longer. 2 people are better than 1 and it probably took my unhandy son and myself a little over an hour. It does sit on carpet so it isnt sliding around and so far appears to be solid. Only one screw misaligned but no biggyno splitting occurred but we did not over tighten since we have worked with pressed wood before. You can use a hammer if you want but a shoe or book would work just as welllol! We placed a memory foam mattress and for a total of 300 he is quite pleased!

Does the job, but heavy and time/consuming

Assembled this bed for my daughter. Dont try to rush through it! Took me around 3 hours, but I was being super cautious and did it alone. The enormous weight is a problem, but once its in the room, cut open the box and take out the pieces one by one. I built the bed on top of the unfolded box to eliminate floor damage. I did have two screws for the top panels that didnt bite into anything, which I assume to be caused by incorrect predrilled holes, since all the others held. I can see why the instructions say not to use a power tool for the screws, because overtightening them will certainly strip out the particleboard. The molding can be installed without lifting the bed using a short screwdriver, I did it. I agree with other reviewers that movement of the bed after assembly should be kept to a minimum to eliminate breaking the top panels or pulling out their screws.

Good product and easy to assemble

This is a good product and very easy to put together. I dont like the sharp corners, because I bought this for my 5/year/old. The product could be better if they rounded the corners for child safety.

    Great bed for the price!

It came ahead of the schedule. Package was great and the bed parts didnt have any dents or scratches. Assembly was pretty easy: instructions were clear and simple, all the screws and washers were there and parts fit together perfectly. The bed looks just like in the pictures and feels very sturdy.

    Happy with product

The assembly took me awhile (I did it alone) and was a bit complex//itd be easier with two people//but it looks great and feels solid. Im happy with it.
